As a part of our global outreach, we operate an active chapter in Sri Lanka, based in Jaffna. The Sri Lanka Chapter was established in 2023 and helps support people living with Parkinson’s disease by providing:
The chapter is led by Neurologist Dr. Jeevagan Vijayabala, with the support of community volunteers and healthcare professionals who commit themselves to improve the quality of life for Parkinson’s patients all over Sri Lank.
✦ Currently, the Sri Lanka (Jaffna) Chapter supports 30 patients.
✦ Over 300 medication packs have been distributed.
✦ The primary medication being provided is Sinemet, a commonly prescribed treatment for Parkinson’s disease.

30 Parkinson’s disease patients in and around the Jaffna area have received support from our Sri Lanka Chapter. Thus far, the chapter has supplied necessary Parkinson’s drugs, mainly Sinemet, which aid patients in controlling their symptoms and enhancing their everyday quality of life.
